Travis began his career in investment real estate following graduation from Vanderbilt University in 1998. Over the next eight years, he assembled a personal portfolio of residential real estate near Vanderbilt’s campus in Nashville, TN and rented to students and young professionals. When he finally divested his Tennessee holdings in 2006, the portfolio’s annualized total return exceeded 100%.
In 2004, Travis set his sights on commercial development in Florida. After a few small acquisitions, he joined Marcus & Millichap and teamed up with Dorothy Jackman in 2006. During his time with M&M, Travis has handled nearly $200,000,000 in student housing assignments throughout the Southeast.
Currently, Travis holds real estate licenses in Florida and North Carolina.
